Bucs Head Coach Arians Wants Football Not Soccer Players When Pads Come On

Following the second day of the Bucs training camp practice, Head Coach Bruce Arians was a busy man. First his foundation, the Arians Family Foundation hosted 100 children from three surrounding counties in a meet & greet with the players plus provided each child with a backpack full of school essentials.

After spending time with the children, Arians met with the media to answer questions after another day of camp practice. He was asked about the development of cornerback Carlton Davis & the head coach stated the second year player is refining his bump & run skills. And some of those skills are displayed in the video below where Davis broke up a pass intended for tight end Cam Brate.

Arians was also asked about how he can envision using the skills of wide receiver Justin Watson, who in the video below makes a fine catch on a pass from quarterback Jameis Winston.

But the most colorful moment of the post practice interview with Arians may have come when the head coach was asked about Sunday, the first day when the team will finally practice in pads. And based off the video below, it's safe to say Arians is ready to see his players practice in pads because playing in shorts is a little too much like soccer.
